3 Steps to Get Excited About Your Life Again with Harris III   0:59 What to Do When Life Gets Boring 12:00 Is THIS Stealing Your Joy? with Harris III 35:28 What Fills You With Wonder? Resources Christy's Devotional - Living True: 40 Days to Get Back to You Get back to you with my brand-new devotional, Living True: 40 Days to Get Back to You. It will help you break through the busyness of life and build the confidence you need to embrace the person you want to be. https://bit.ly/3gaQkS6 Christy's 7-Day Time Finder Feel like you never have enough time? Sign up for the free 7-Day Time Finder challenge to learn simple things you can do to take back your time. https://bit.ly/3aeZSHK     Y'all, today's episode is so much fun. We're talking about how to get excited about life again, just like we were when we were kids. I also get to have an awesome conversation with Harris III (an illusionist, speaker, author and entrepreneur) on the topic of wonder. Finally, we'll wrap up the show with a few journal questions.   What to Do When Life Gets Boring Between all the errands and chores and work tasks and commitments, it's easy to feel like you're running a business instead of actually living your life. If you're tired of going through the motions, check out these three steps that will help you break out of boredom and experience more joy and wonder.   Is THIS Stealing Your Joy? with Harris III According to Harris III, wonder is "A childlike state in which we have permission to believe in a story we have yet to see." The problem is, so many of us live with negative stories running through our heads all day. But it doesn't have to be that way. Harris III shares some practical tips on how to change your story and see limitless possibilities for your life.   What Fills You With Wonder? "When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" Psalm 8:3-4 (NIV)   God is performing miracles around us all the time. But often, we're so caught up in our crazy lives that we don't even notice what He's doing! When we actually pause to look at the world around us and see how creative and powerful our God is, we'll be filled with a sense of wonder. I want to give you some journal questions to help you process this: What fills you with wonder? What gets in the way of you being filled with wonder and awe? What's one thing you want to do to take action on this idea of wonder so you can create it in your own life?

Is Fear Keeping You From Chasing Your Dreams? with Pat Flynn   1:05 The One Thing You Need to Do to Reach Your Goals 10:06 What You Need to Know to Build Your Business with Pat Flynn 35:06 What Are Your Goals and Dreams in Life? Resources Business Boutique AcademyGet everything you need to start or grow your business inside Christy's exclusive training group, the Business Boutique Academy. Join today! https://bit.ly/2RnNiQ4     Today, we're talking about the one thing that we often miss when trying to reach our goals. I also get to interview the brilliant entrepreneur Pat Flynn, who shares tactical advice on turning creative ideas into real businesses. And we'll end the show with a few journal questions about overcoming the obstacles that stand between us and our dreams.   The One Thing You Need to Do to Reach Your Goals Do you have a dream or a goal that always seems out of reach? Then you're probably missing this one simple strategy.   What You Need to Know to Build Your Business with Pat Flynn Creatives and entrepreneurs are yes-people. We have a million ideas a minute! So how do you decide which ones are worth your time and attention? I asked Pat Flynn that exact question in our interview. He has lots of practical advice to share about balancing our current projects with our squirrel-brain ideas.   What Are Your Goals and Dreams in Life? "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Galatians 6:7 (NIV)   I love this verse because it reminds us that we are responsible for the choices we make in life. We're going to get results based on the actions we take-good or bad. Yes, God is at work in us, but we get to partner with Him. That's pretty incredible, y'all.  Spend a few minutes digging into this concept by answering these journal questions: What are those things you've been thinking about but haven't done anything about yet? What's one small action step you can take this week? What comes to your mind when you think about "You reap what you sow"?

What to Do When Worry Takes Over with Sissy Goff   0:50 Three Ways to Stop Worrying 12:58 What to Do When Your Child Is Anxious with Sissy Goff 38:04 Don't Worry About THIS . . . Today, we'll talk about three practical ways to stop worrying. Plus, I get to interview author and counselor Sissy Goff about how to help our kids when they're facing mental health challenges. And we'll wrap up the show with a few journal questions about how we can worry less and trust God more.   3 Ways to Stop Worrying There are a million things we can worry about. And when your thoughts start to run away from you, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and stuck. Here are three ways to stop worrying before it gets out of control.   What to Do When Your Child Is Anxious with Sissy Goff My guest for today, Sissy Goff, has been a counselor for 30 years. In our interview, she shares practical tips on how to spot the warning signs of anxiety in our kids and how to love them well through mental health challenges.   Don't Worry About THIS . . . "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life . . ." Matthew 6:25 (NIV)   I love this passage because it reminds us that it's actually possible to train our minds not to worry! Instead of listening to negative thoughts and worrying about the same old problems, we can choose to focus on our heavenly Father, who loves us and is always taking care of us. Easier said than done, right? To help make this truth a reality, spend some time journaling your answers to these questions:  What do you worry about the most? How does Matthew 6:25-34 help you remember not to worry? What comfort do you find when you remember that God will take care of you?

How to Love Yourself the Right Way with Crystal Paine   0:56 Why Loving Yourself Doesn't Have to be Selfish 12:28 Become a Great Parent with Crystal Paine 29:56 Love Others (as Yourself) Resources Christy's Devotional - Living True: 40 Days to Get Back to YouGet back to you with my brand-new devotional, Living True: 40 Days to Get Back to You. It will help you break through the busyness of life and build the confidence you need to embrace the person you want to be. https://bit.ly/3lSgtWJ   Christy's 5-Day Confidence BoostSign up for my free 5-Day Confidence Boost. You'll receive five days of encouragement focused on helping you become a more confident you! https://bit.ly/3u0BroT     On this episode, we're talking about why you should love yourself. (I know some of you will disagree with me on this, which is why I want you to tune in!) I'll also talk to my friend Crystal Paine about her new book, Love-Centered Parenting, and how we can love ourselves while loving our kids. And we'll close today's show with a few journal questions.   Why Loving Yourself Doesn't Have to be Selfish Some of you are already mad at me for bringing this up. As Christians, we're not supposed to love ourselves, right? Here are three reasons why self-love is actually a good thing.   Become a Great Parent with Crystal Paine You can't offer something you don't have. So, if you're not receiving the love of your heavenly father, how can you give love to others? In today's interview, Crystal Paine-author, speaker and entrepreneur-talks about her new book, Love-Centered Parenting, and why loving our kids well starts with letting God love us.   Love Others (as Yourself) "The most important [commandment]," answered Jesus, "is this . . . 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31 (NIV)   When Jesus says to "love your neighbor as yourself," he's implying that we already do love ourselves. It's our gut instinct to love and protect and take care of ourselves, so we should have that same level of care for the people around us. Let's unpack this idea with a few journal questions: Who's someone you love? Describe your love for that person. Be honest: What do you think about yourself? Why is it hard for you to love yourself?
